The mesothelioma cancer is an extremely malicious and permanent cancer which infects the lining of the bodies and the abdominal lungs. The symptoms of the pleural mesothelioma are chest pain, difficulty in breathing and continuous cough .
The mesothelioma cancer is caused because of the continuous exposure to asbestos and the inhalation of the asbestos particles. Asbestos is a natural fibrous ore which are largely used in industrial, manufacturing processes and building materials. The building materials such as tiles, cement, insulating material, pipes and much more includes asbestos materials. Any person who had worked in these industries even 50 years back is has the danger of getting affected by mesothelioma.
The greatest cause of mesothelioma is the negligence of the asbestos manufacturers. The manufacturers continued to employ asbestos even after realizing its harmful effects. They do not take any precautionary steps to prevent the exposure of asbestos to the workmen. Diagnosis of mesothelioma is very difficult and the average moment of survival for the patient of mesothelioma is not more than 1-2 years.
The symptoms of mesothelioma cancer are similar to other common diseases. Diagnosis of mesothelioma cancer is difficult. The symptoms of the mesothelioma are the brevity of the breath and the chronic cough which can easily be mixed with the allergies or a common cold. In much of the case mesothelioma is discovered accidentally when the patients examine these symptoms. Other symptoms of the pleural mesothelioma include the chest pain, chronic cough, the brevity of the breath, spitting blood, lung infection, inflated lymph nodes, the loss of appetite and the loss of weight.
Smoking is not the entire cause of mesothelioma. Still it increases the risk of pleural mesothelioma. Researches indicated that the smokers with the asbestos exposure have an increased risk of mesothelioma when compared to the nonsmokers with the exposure similar to the asbestos particles. The studies have revealed that the members of family of the asbestos workmen suffer from mesothelioma. The major cause of mesothelioma is the asbestos particles settled on clothing, the shoes and the hair of the asbestos workmen which the members of their family inhale. The workmen should bathe and change their clothing to avoid the possibility of exposing asbestos particles to their family members. The workmen should use the protection materials to reduce the risk of asbestos exposure.
